| On my cross country
trip I conceived a concept album about two people who meet, have
a great time and then immediately are thrust into crisis even
though they barely know each other. The content was inspired
by a usual process of finding love with a splash of tragedy,
which makes it my style. The idea for the album was inspired
by The Streets and his second album. The whole album is strung
together through a series of events throughout a short period
of time. I never realized it before, being a simpleton, but I
enjoyed it more once I had realized. So, the rest of the music
will be in time for a Christmas Internet-only release. I chose
scene 2 first because the dark comes so naturally plus I really
enjoyed the idea of performing the two characters simultaneously.
Interesting I hope. |

Emergency (Scene
2)
(the phone rings)
|
Hello
This
is Him
What
do you mean?
What
happened?
|
|
|
|
I'm
sorry sir, I was hoping you'd tell me the same thing
There
is a young lady here she had an accident
Do
you know anything about the accident?
|
|
No
|
|
|
|
See
she was found face down on 5th street unconscious
and bleeding
|
|
"No," I said in disbelief
|
|
|
Emergency, Emergency
Can someone put her through to me
We were on a date it was getting late
so I walked her to her car
But that was on the other side of town
What was she doing done there?
Was she alone?
Where is she now?
|
|
|
|
We found her phone on the ground and it seems
she called you at home right before she
|
|
No, I just got home, let me check my machine
One message but I listened
the line was dead
I checked the time and it seemed both the
message and his story rhymed
Emergency, Emergency
Can someone put her through to me
Do you know anything
Can you tell me anything
About what happened
How could this have happened
She was just with me, she was just with me
|
|
|
Emergency, Emergency
Can someone put her through to me
There's much more at stake than a broken heart
but if I can't get through that's where you'll start
To pick up the pieces, I couldn't fit together
Please let me in, I only came to see her
