This one came out of the air, another one that wrote itself. I have always liked the charm of organized crime as portrayed in movies (not real-life), hence the Bonnie and Clyde song from a few months ago. I decided to throw a twist on it and have one of the hostages talk the robber out of it. Then the robber would fight within himself over whether he really was good or bad. I think I and have this struggle to be good, the simple good that comes up in our daily lives. The choice to do the right thing instead of the easy thing is so basic but so universal. It is fun one, and one I need to work to be able perform well. Another challenge, as if guitar playing wasn't enough.
Listen to the Track Here

Honesty
It all seemed so simple
A foolproof plan
To go in fast
The car was waiting out back
We were well rehearsed
No one was to get hurt
If only she didn’t move
If only he didn’t say

We all make our mistakes
But in the end
All our debts are paid
You should turn and walk away
Because if you look inside
You only see
Honesty, honesty

I went quietly
It was enough to think
I laid in bed for weeks
Playing it over and over again
What he said what he said
Playing it
over and over
And over and over again

I guess I needed to be saved
I just needed to begin
To set out, to set out again
We all want to believe
We all want to believe
Don’t we all want to believe
It’s all in me
